CTfastrak is here! I had the pleasure of riding it to the mall and back and loved it. Now is the perfect time to give it a try. Rides are free through April 5th!

CTfastrak is Connecticut's bus rapid transit (BRT) solution to improve mobility and reduce congestion in the I-84 New Britain to Hartford corridor. An innovative, high capacity, cost effective public transit solution, it can significantly improve travel times through heavily-congested areas.  BRT uses dedicated transit guide ways or exclusive travel lanes to avoid traffic and quickly transport passengers to their destinations.

The Hartford Girl has made its way to one of Hartford's surrounding towns, and the stop is none other than Nora’s Cupcakes!  For the past year, I’ve seen their logo posted on so many awesome event photos, I have tried cupcakes from their mobile cupcake truck and now I  have the opportunity to work with them for my upcoming 6th Annual Strut 4 Autism Fashion Show & Silent Auction on April 18th.  This Shop is way cool!  It not only features their tasty treats, but its a gallery for artists to especially showcase their work. Like myself, the community holds a very special place in Nora’s Cupcakes heart and I’m so thrilled to be able to feature this location on Hartford Girl and I strongly recommend that you visit them too.

If you’re around on April 18th, please join me at my most special event of the year, Strut 4 Autism!  There will be a cupcake bar created by Nora’s Cupcakes!  Enjoy a few trips from my super fun (and sweet)treat!

The "Hartford Girl"

Did you know there is a FREE Star Shuttle Bus that runs every 15 minutes throughout downtown Hartford?
I am a frequent rider on this great services for anyone traveling throughout downtown Hartford. It may not be a necessary service to the masses, but for a Hartford Girl who lives, works and play downtown Hartford, it's a wonderful service to utilize!

The dash is a FREE, downtown Hartford circulator service. The shuttle route connects the CT Convention Center, the Riverfront, the CT Science Center, the Arts and Entertainment District, various restaurants, and downtown hotels.Regular dash service operates every weekday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., departing every 15 minutes from the Connecticut Convention Center.

During major downtown events, schedule enhancements may include later evening service on weekdays, as well as service on Saturdays and Sundays. The shuttle will not operate on weekends when there is no downtown event scheduled.
