It’s funny how desperate I was to exit the Fashion industry. I ventured into event planning and claimed I would wash my hands of it in its entirety.  Life apparently had other plans.  After planning the best Strut 4 Autism Fashion Show yet, major opportunities began to pour through.  I am pleased to share that I will be the Show Coordinator for Stackpole Moore & Tryon’s part in the Power Moves 2015 Men’s Fashion Show on May 1st.   After party will be held at The Capital Grille on Front Street.  RSVP by emailing trillon.dukes@hartford.gov.  I hope to see you there!

Oh for my love of fashion and all things girly!  My 6th Annual Strut 4 Autism Fashion Show will feature runway designs by some amazing boutiques, one being Francesca’s Collection (Glastonbury location).  Last week my intern and I had the pleasure of putting wardrobes together for the fabulous community figures that will model in Strut 4 Autism this weekend.  As a former fashion designer/seamstress and lover of all things fashion, this was and will forever be my ideal type of work.  A store filled with beautiful pieces, an empty dress rack, my fashion forward mindset, is all I need to create magic!  I'm so excited,  I can barely wait to reveal some chic Summer/Nautical designs on 4/18!

This is one of my absolute favorite, fun filled events offered by Vaz!  A few times per year, Vaz hosts really awesome extravaganzas for ladies to enjoy.   These events are filled with fashion, beauty and entertainment. You can shop for really cool local items offered by artists and businesses, check out the latest fashion, and just have a good time.  So grab a couple friends, get dolled up and head down to a NEW location, Caral Lounge (design center building).

Interested in winning a free ticket? Simply reply to this blog post telling me what type of events you’d like to attend in Hartford. Winners will be chosen and announced by Saturday 3/21 at noon!

As you may already know, my soon-to-be 12 year old daughter has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Each year, I coordinate a special event that supports the Autism Foundation that I founded in 2010.  On April 18th, I will be hosting  The 6th Annual Strut 4 Autism Fashion and Autism Awards Ceremony

This event will showcase designs from local boutiques that will be modeled by community figures.  It will also honor autism caregivers for their efforts with caring for their autistic child.

Though the event isn’t until April, I need your help nominating autism moms or dads who are deserving of an Autism Award Honor.  If you know someone caring for a child with Autism, please nominate them on Hope 4 Autism’s website here. Additionally, I’m in need of a few volunteers to assist on the day of the event.  If you are interested, please send me an email here
